His strong commitment to social change has a direct, tangible and positive impact on the lives of millions of people. He has created a truly distinctive social entrepreneurial model to design, manufacture, distribute and finance an affordable product to those who need it most. Sam has been selected as an Ashoka Fellow, World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, a Schwab. Over more than a decade, he has built and grown various functions in d.light, including its supply chain, global brand and marketing, product design and engineering teams, cloud and platform teams, and country offices in India and East Africa. Prior to Capability Trust, Effie was Regional HR Director for Opportunity International leading HR teams across 8 countries in Africa. Sam is the first Canadian chosen to receive the Prize.
